#26 The Importance of Line Placement

26. When being forced to wait in a line, during down pour, it's best to position yourself amongst those with umbrellas. The layering effect takes place, and you stay pleasantly dry. Unless of course the people with the big umbrella, manage to get to the front of the line, leaving you high and...wet.

#23 The Importance of the Reality of Study Habits

23. Yes, life would be easier if you studied all the time, and you practiced continually. And If you organized yourself to learn a chapter a day, less stress would fall upon you. But lets be serious. You say your going to do better next time, and that you've learned your lesson, but you never do. So let this be the lesson. Ready for it? Here it comes.

It's painful, it sucks, and it's stupid. But cramming, and waiting 'til the last minute is what you do. And it works for you. And if you've learned one thing from Psychology it's that understanding yourself, and coming to terms with who you are, will put you on the road to self-actualization, and that my dear, in real life terms.. is the road to success. And there's no other place I'd rather be.

Why change who i really am?

#22 The Importance of Following Direction

22. Large red arrows don't necessarily know where you personally are headed, so taking in all the facts of the sign, to determine whether or not that arrow is pointing you in the appropriate direction, could save you from a walk up hill and a wander around a Toyota-Lexus Car Lot.

#19 The Importance of Trial and Error in the Kitchen

19. Today i put a stale piece of bread (baguette) in the microwave to try to revive it from its hardness. I ended up burning it to a crisp, almost starting a fire, and smoking up the apartment. It has now been sitting on my counter for 30 minutes, and continues to make cracking noises... im waiting upon its explosion. I also noticed a burning "spot" on the element of the stove as i was boiling water... i tried to remove the "spot" with the plastic spoon i was using to stir. This cause the plastic to melt on the "spot" causing more burning to occur.

It was not my brightest day in the kitchen, but i managed to create a fully edible meal.

16. It only occurred to me today, that my mother spends every single day with her father and always has. That's more than i can say, about myself. I moved out of my house when i was 18 and i'll never look back, but it doesn't mean i don't love my family. As i continue to grow, i hope i see my family as often as i can... i just have no interest in joining the family business.
